Crazy Times, Part 4

The days still feel long, but April did feel short.  But, here we are in May, still doing our best to be physically distant while keeping connected.  Jip and I had the best time at our virtual happy hour over Zoom with our dear friends Ed and Emily.  Amy has Zoom meetings with other NMCRS volunteers every couple weeks.  The kids' classes and extra-curricular activities continue, and it is nice to have a routine down--it helps us remember what day of the week it is.

Here are a few pics from our last couple weeks...

Ryleigh decided to paint some rocks out of the area where our downspout comes off the house.  She said she wanted to do it to make people happy.  They made me happy.  Especially the Oreo.

Two of Ryleigh's friends celebrated birthdays during the 3rd week of April.  First she got to FaceTime with them.  It was so good to hear the girly giggles as they made everyone laugh.

Then one of the girls' moms organized a birthday parade for Grayson and her twin Camden.  Ryleigh and I had the best time driving by and wishing the girls a happy birthday.  Then our favorite pottery place delivered some pottery for them to paint.

 Ryleigh decided to dress up for ballet class.  She threw on last year's recital costume and felt extra pretty on her Zoom call.

RJ continued to learn new choreography for his dance class.  I think they are now ready to just do it over and over until they can see each other in person and do it for real.

We had a beautiful, warm day on May 3.

The kids quickly got hot and asked for shade.

Then they got cold in the shade and called it a day.
