RJ's 14th Birthday celebration was a low key affair. The night before his birthday, we went to dinner at a place of his choosing. He chose Bubba's 33, which is a place we went to fairly often pre-COVID. RJ did NOT want to have the restaurant staff acknowledge his birthday, so we just ordered dessert and kept the embarrassment at bay.
The morning of his birthday, RJ opened his gifts. He'd actually received one gift the week before his birthday - a new bike. We needed him to try it on for size and it would have been hard to keep secret in our temporary living situation. Anyway, everyone spoiled him, as usual. Thanks to everyone for that!!
