Last post from Japan

So here we are, currently staying in the Navy Lodge on base and preparing to travel tomorrow.  A couple years ago, we decided to try this "blogging thing" to keep friends and family apprised of what we do and how the kids were growing and changing.  This is the 639th blog entry!  I can't believe that we had enough things to say to fill up those entries...

Tomorrow at 1230 our time, we're going to get into a van and head up the Yoko-Yoko one last time.  We fly out of Narita International Airport at 5:30 p.m. and land in San Diego at 11:30 a.m. on the same day--can it be considered time travel since we're going to land before we take off?

After we get to San Diego, we're going to navigate our way to the Navy Lodge on North Island, which is on a beach, by the way, and then pick up a rental car that afternoon.  We have some priorities that we will be working on in the following few days, to include:

-switching everyone's sleep schedules around so we can function all day long
-getting some good American food from somewhere besides McD's, Taco Bell, and Chili's.
-purchasing our new Toyota Highlander Hybrid (I think all the details are worked out and this will happen on Friday)
-meeting with our new landlords to get the keys to the house we're renting
-going to Verizon to get new cell phones
-going to Target
-getting decent haircuts for the kiddos
-preparing the house to receive our household goods on Monday and Tuesday.

We'll be in touch again via this blog and via the phone.  Here come the Mosmans to a time zone near you!
