Picnic Pics

Jip is super busy building RJ's firetruck costume, and I am at a loss for what to blog about tonight, so here are a few pics from the two picnics we had last week for Jip's work.  The first picnic was for all the military folks after they completed the semi-annual PRT (Physical Readiness Test).  The second picnic was an employee appreciation picnic for all of the employees, US and Japanese, in Code 330 (Waterfront Operations).

Something lacking at both picnics were tables.  So, Ryleigh got to have lunch in her stroller both days.  I think she was okay with that.

One of the rare moments RJ was contained at the post-PRT picnic.

Dad's cover is just a little too big, but it sure made for a cute picture.

RJ and Ryleigh hung onto every moment they could with Dad -- literally.

 

RJ telling one of the translators all about his blueberry banana "applesauce."  RJ was totally in love with Nomi-chan after she listened to his story, and RJ followed her around the rest of the afternoon.

And, a rusty staircase is where RJ got to have lunch at the Code 330 picnic.

The kids had so much fun getting to have lunch with Dad 3 times in one week--two picnics and our weekly lunch.  I don't think we'll be able to top that this week!
