SRF Christmas Party +

Yesterday we went to Tokyo for the SRF Christmas Party. We arrived at The New Sanno nice and early so we could secure a parking spot. We enjoyed some lunch, then we took off for Asobono--yet another indoor playground--in Tokyo Dome City. It was rainy out, so we found the perfect way to let the kids burn some energy.

Ryleigh's quintessential Japanese outfit--shorts and tights!

The train and truck room. RJ was in seventh heaven!

"Wooooo, wooooo, wooooo."  Or should it be "Nee-nah, nee-nah" since we are in Japan.

Ryleigh was definitely contemplating giving the ball to Grandpa.

RJ took one last dive before we left.

Then it was back to the hotel for the Christmas Party.

The iPod and iPhone were very important in keeping the kids entertained between courses.

"Hello?"

"It's for you, Grandpa!"

Santa paid SRF another visit. RJ wasn't quite sure what to think.

Ryleigh knew what to think--"No thanks!"

We enjoyed shrimp cocktail, salad, surf and turf, and cheesecake. Though the food was very good, the highlight of the night was the dancing. Check out these videos of RJ.

And, my friend Melissa took this video of Ryleigh and Grandpa. The sound dies after a couple second, but it is still fun to watch.

This morning we hit the hotel pool. I forgot my swimsuit, but Jip was able to handle two rambunctious kids with no problems. It doesn't hurt that the kiddie side of the pool is only 18" deep! In that shallow water, RJ got to enjoy being on his own with a kick board.

Ryleigh decided to show off for the camera--with a little help from Grandpa.

After swimming, we enjoyed the yummy New Sanno brunch and headed back to Yokosuka to relax and recover. Good times were had by all.
