We had a picture session for the kids while we were in Colorado. We showed up as one of the first appointments of the day thinking that our children would be more energetic and "into" the photo sessions. Wrong--at least for RJ. Ryleigh was happy for a major portion of the shoot and only got fussy near the end. RJ didn't want to take photos and, instead, kept asking "why" (by far, one of the most annoying questions that we hear over and over and over again) and wanted to play with a toy riding tractor that the photographers had in the studio, but after some good distraction tactics utilized by the photo girls, he was more amenable and actually gave us some cute pictures. Amy and I had also put on quasi-nicer clothes in hopes of some family photos, but by the time we got near the end of the session and to a point where we could all take a photo together, the kiddos were in no shape to support, so we opted to stay on the non-visible side of the camera lenses. Cute, aren't they? Yes, we love our children and probably take too many photos.
On to the next odd topic. Today was Ryleigh's 6 month well baby appt. After having to be weighed twice because of an errant foot on the table, we found out that she's above average weight and height...like we had any doubt. She is now 17 pounds and 27 inches tall. She got four immunization shots as well--poor little girl!
While Mom and little sister were at the hospital, Miss T (Tricia) was nice enough to come over and watch/play with RJ. The two of them hit it off the first time they met over 8 months ago and RJ just loves to go and play upstairs with her. Graciously, she was available and willing to watch RJ today. Little did we know that for some reason, RJ's backslide in potty training would translate into Miss T having to clean up RJ's bum and change his big-boy underwear four (4) times while Amy and Ryleigh were out. Thanks, Miss T and please come back again soon...if you still want to...!
RJ is still getting up in the middle of the night so I'm sitting here nodding off due to a lack of sleep. Maybe I need to go get some rest....

Love the pics! There really is no such thing as too many pictures when the subjects are this cute =) And good growing Ryleigh! Hope those shots take it easy on you.
