Mmmmm...bread!

Our little girl is showing us more and more each day that she likes finger food and she likes to feed herself.  She's not hip on purees.  She's not interested in having Mom or Dad put a spoon in her mouth.  But, give here a pile of peas, carrots, bread pieces, strawberries, puffs, etc. and she'll pick them up and eat like a champ.  She'll even two-fist it sometimes and use both hands to feed herself.  She also has a little happy, yummy moan that she does when she's eating by herself.  She'll sit for a half hour and moan and eat.  When she's full, she starts sweeping all food onto the floor.

We're certainly okay with her being more hands on than RJ was, but now we have to be more creative in getting her all the ingredients and nutrients that are conveniently packaged up in little containers of baby food.  She's still breast fed, so nutrition is not too much of a concern, but the more solids she eats, the better.

Even though she might not like the pureed food like RJ did, she does have one thing in common.  She likes bread!  If she keeps it up, we'll have to buy a bakery just to feed our two children.  :)

Ryleigh got her hands on the remainder of the croissant that I mistakenly left within arm's length of her.  Note the yummy moan and cute giggle.  In the end before I cleaned her up, she probably ate about 1/2 of the croissant little piece by little piece.

Mmmmm, mmmmm, mmmmm.
